Registered Nutritional Therapy Practitioner
Nutritional Therapy is the application of nutrition and lifestyle medicine sciences that allows a Practitioner to assess and identify potential nutritional imbalances that may be contributing to an individual’s health concern. Nutritional Therapy is personalised nutrition that considers your unique biology and is tailored specifically to you, your health concern, your goals, your preferences and your lifestyle.
It is not only relevant for those living with a chronic health condition but Nutritional Therapy is also effective at supporting those who are experiencing the challenges of our hectic lives such as stress, anxiety, fatigue and lack of sleep – in this fast-paced world, it can be all too easy to forget that our health is precious and personalised nutrition can play a key role in supporting health and wellbeing.
About my practice
I have a passionate belief that good food and nutrition does have the power to restore health and quality of life and it was this belief that led me to train as a Nutritional Therapist at the College of Naturopathic Medicine.
Central to my practice is this food-first ethos and I combine nutrition and lifestyle advice with a coaching style that is aimed at creating healthy, lifelong habits while supporting and motivating behaviour change. This approach allows my clients to navigate their symptoms comfortably, without feeling as though they are missing out while supporting them back to optimal health and wellbeing.
My own experience has led me to have a special clinical interest in supporting those women who, while facing challenges in their personal and professional lives, are also experiencing the symptoms of perimenopause, helping them to unpick their symptoms and cut through the menopause chatter that can often feel confusing and overwhelming.
I am fully insured and a member of the professional body, the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT). I am also a member of the Association of Naturopathic Practitioners, and I am registered with the Complementary and Natural Health Care Council (CNHC), the UK regulatory body for complementary health care practitioners.
What to expect
During our initial call, we will talk about your health challenges and explore which of my programmes will provide you with the level of support that you need to give you the best possible health outcome.
Our work together will take a deep dive into your health concerns and challenges and your current nutrition and lifestyle habits to establish root cause and how we can address this using evidence-based nutrition and lifestyle advice. We will meet regularly over a 12-week period during which time you will be supported with all the resources that you need to keep you motivated and on track to achieving your health goals.
